The homey Carlos Starboyant sat down with VA-rapper, Nickelus F, on a promo stop in New York City.

Remember T.I. vs Tip? Clifford Harris won. I’m all for someone getting out of jail and turning a new leaf, but did the new voice come with the new teeth? The T.I. I know doesn’t even pronounce the last letter of any word and now he’s speaking like he’s out of Buckhead, not Bankhead.

With all of his bourgeois talk, he really doesn’t answer the interviewer from The Rap-Up’s questions and when he does, he’s vague. His new, album “King Uncaged” makes it seem like he’s been “caged” for a long time. Yup, I woke up this morning and thought to myself, “Man I’m glad T.I. is back. I haven’t heard a new song from him in at least three months!”

I didn’t and I’m sure you didn’t either.

This is awkwarrrd… And hilarious all at the same time.

Jay-Z made an appearance on “Friday Night with Jonathan Ross” to chop it up about anything ad everything. If you know anything about a Jay-Z interview then you know this will be entertaining. It’s actually really entertaining.

J. Cole quickly talks production influences, name-dropping Kanye and No ID as influences on his own work. I’m kind of hyped to hear an album from him.

Here’s some footage Mo’Nique yelling at interviewing Wale for eight minutes. I can’t knock her because the conversation was pretty good. Wale’s biggest strength is that he’s a real person. He’s remained such after a few years in the business. There are folks that haven’t accomplished half of what he has who already have swollen heads.

If you’re from New York then you probably remembered the Roll Call. I remember this vividly; my mother driving me to school while the morning show plays, then later, the walks in cold while listening to my Walkman. Great times.

Radric Davis, better known as Gucci Mane, speaks on his early life in Georgia with Miss Info at his old project in Atlanta. I enjoyed watching this. I have some experience around southern ‘hoods and Gucci’s presence during this interview is too familiar. The south is almost a different planet compared to a northern city. Things are done differently and this segment of Info’s extensive interview is one of the better ones.

50 made an appearance on Conan last night to promote the album and cologne. Seeing him speak in interviews is always entertaining. The only awkward/inappropriate moment had to be the performance of “Baby by Me,” sans Ne-Yo. The lyrics aren’t that “friendly” when you hear the sound outside of urban radio.

Wale’s album is finally in store. We’ve watched this man evolve from and underground artist to one of the more dominant forces in music for the DMV, and the new generation of hip-hop. I copped my copy. Did you get yours? If not hit up iTunes. I bought the hard CD, though. It’s something tangible, you know?
