Hippo Eats a Croc
Nov 16th

This is something you don’t see everyday. This crocodile must have thought this pack of hippos were logs, or something, but he couldn’t get away when the hippos realized there was a crocodile on their heads. Random, I know, but still dope.
What’s harder, drunk driving or drunk public-transportation’ing?

This lady is way to drunk to be out of a hospital bed.
[Video] Balloon Boy did it “for the show”
Oct 15th
This little muthaf- boy allegedly climbed into his parents’ experimental air balloon and uncontrollably flew thousands of miles over Colorado. Turns out the boy was never in the balloon and was in his attic/garage the whole time.
So, an afternoon of CNN coverage, Army involvement, Apache Black Hawk helicopter deployment, and Twitter trending topics all for a hoax. Why does this seem like a bad episode of “Jon and Kate Plus Eight?”
Oh, and sidenote, someone farts 43 seconds into the video… Right after the kid drops the bomb.
[Video] Jay-Z – "Empire State of Mind" (Live)
Sep 18th
We’ll be tired of this song before the video comes out. The video is justĀ an assumption but remember what I said the other day. Anyway, Jay is making is promo runs in the UK, which included a stop at “Friday Night with Jonathan Ross,” for a performance with the Roc Boys.
I’m really posting this because the back-up singer on the hook really does this song justice. She might be better on it, live, than Alicia. Dare I say it. Yes I do.
Sidebar: That jacket?
props go to Yardie for the clip.
Long Live the World Trade
Sep 11th

As a New Yorker, and a patron of this generation, the events of 9/11 hold a special significance to me. The first bombing also affected me but I won’t go back that far. September 11, 2001 was my first of 10th grade in high school. It was three days after my birthday and I got a newsflash on my two-way pager (yeah, I was on it like that in high school).
I thought it was an accident until a few minutes later I got another message that said they both came down. I ran to the science wing and watched the events from there. It was a sunny day but when I looked into the city it looked like a fog had engulfed the city. For the next few days, months even, tensions were high. Middle-eastern citizens were getting discriminated and racially profiled and the news covered the events 24/7.
Anyway, nstead of mourning the tragedy, I figured I’d celebrate the strength of my city. Below are a few familiar songs, purposely unnamed, that will make you proud to be a New Yorker. Enjoy.
