It’s almost inconceivable; Clipse being introduced by Charlie Gibson, a feature on a national news show, a well-reviewed coke-flow album. I’m not sure which one is a better look for the duo.
Despite their less-than-suitable-for-mainstream content, Ian Cohen of Pitchfork.com praised the new album. Whether or not they sell –I have a feeling they will, this shines a much-needed light on them as a force in hip-hop, and music in general.

Haitian Ambassador, Raymond Joseph Responds to Pat Robertson

I’ve stayed pretty tight-lipped about the situation in Haiti only because it’s a situation that hits close to home. Literally. But the ignorance I’ve heard, followed by words of pride and strength, is the reason for this post.
While on “The 700 Club,” Pat Robertson, a televangelist, said, “They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III, or whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, ‘we will serve you if you’ll get us free from the French.’ True story. And so, the devil said, ‘okay it’s a deal.’”
That’s more ridiculous than George W. Bush saying FEMA did a great job during Hurricane Katrina. I’m just glad that Raymond Joseph addressed the world with his bold statement (see first video) that puts pride in the heart of anyone with even an ounce of Haitian blood in them.
Joseph took the high-road. I’ll take the low…
