Well, this isn’t really anything I gave much thought, but it’s a few of the latest joints that hit this week and some randoms I threw in because I noticed them. If you need something to ride to or listen to as you tan on a beach somewhere, this may be for you.

#DearDad is pretty #Depressing
Jun 19th

I touched #DearDad with blissful ignorance thinking that I’d see some nice things for Father’s Day. Maybe something like, “#DearDad thanks for the new car after graduation,” would be appropriate on the eve of dad’s day but that’s not what I found.
I know my dad didn’t buy me a car for graduation, and yours probably didn’t either, but words of praise are expected. In reality it was majority opposite. People hate dads. Even Fake-Jesus went in. Moms do wrong, too, right? I didn’t see any of this type of bashings on Mother’s Day.
I’m not a father and I don’t harbor hate for mine but do we need to publicly call them out for their short-comings? I won’t psychoanalyze but I find it interesting.
‘I Have a Dream’
Jan 18th
I remember walking by a group of old White veterans in a restaurant a year ago and they were speaking about Martin Luther King Day. Their conversation was ignorant but the one thing I remember one of them saying was, “I have a dream! Shit, do I get a holiday now?”
I turned my head slowly and gave that man a petrifying stare. It was one of those stares that bare your soul mixed with the malice of an Ice Cube ice-grill. We caught eye contact and his face turned red as I walked over to him. My friend told me to chill. My gaze continued as my friend lightly pulled me back by my sleeve.
Once a year probably isn’t enough times to watch this but, if I can help continue King’s message, I will. After that experience, and learning even more about the Civil Rights Movement, I fully understand how remarkable what King and other freedom fighters did during these times. So, whatever color you are, take a few minutes out of your day to see why this man has a national holiday.
John and Lisa: Cornell University E-Mail Scandal
Nov 9th

YIKES! This sucks for so many reasons. Here’s what happened. John and Lisa staff members at Cornell University and involved in an extramarital affair. They are both married and, yes, they are cheaters. They send emails back and forth, and some of it is innocent, but much of it is quite NSFW while at work.
Of course, using company resources to carry on an affair with a colleague is not allowed, but that’s not the worst part. John accidentally sent the email conversations to the entire school. I mean ev-ry-bo-dy. So, the lesson to take away from this is, cheat like they used to do in the old days. Meet at a cheap motel on your lunch break and that’s it. (scroll all the way down)
