*deep breath* Ok, a lot of people seem to not like this. I’m not against them, but I can’t say that I’m exactly cosigning. It doesn’t suck. Hype Williams should get credit for a not-bad video. I’m still not feeling the song. It would have been better if she used more voices, maybe, or used a different one?
Her flow at about 1:47 should have been the flow for most of the song. That was the only time I really enjoyed the record. Sean Garrett’s voice kills me. Amber Rose might as well sang the hook, and I’ve never even heard her speak. If this is what Young Moolah is calling “Nicki’s first single,” I hope they’re already working on a second one.
In a nutshell, it’s better on your eyes than your ears.
Terry Richardson’s Supreme Photoshoot with Rosa Acosta

Now, the man in me loves these flicks. The photographer in me is screaming, “Are you serious?!” Clothing company, Supreme, enlisted renowned photographer, Terry Richardson, to snap flicks of rising video vixen, Rosa Acosta (”Best I Ever Had”), for a new campaign.
You’ve seen Richardson’s fashion photography used by brands such as Gucci and Tommy Hilfiger, and even a shoot with Lil Wayne last year. I just think some of the pics are a bit to unflattering to the ‘crotchal’ region. I’ve just seen Richardson do some really dope shoots and this isn’t among them. Am I wrong? Any other thoughts?

Rihanna – “Russian Roulette”

Rihanna’s back, after a very interesting year, with a new single called “Russian Roulette,” which was released today at 11:23 to correspond with the November 23 release date of her forthcoming LP, “Rated R” The video has already been shot and will make its debut on ABC.
After what she’s been through, this is a good direction. The song, written and produced by Ne-Yo, is powerful and demands your ear. Is this a successful comeback I smell?
[Video] Alicia Keys – “Doesn’t Mean Anything”

Ms. Keys seems to be losing her appeal to me. The whole Swizz Beatz affair controversy has tainted her wholesome image and Bridget K. killing “New York State of Mind” show after show doesn’t help. Also, didn’t she make a song about the same thing called “If I Ain’t Got You?” That song is classic. Just thinking out loud…
