Shamwow Guy selling Eminem Albums

In some creative promo, the ShamWow guy is selling Eminem’s “Recovery” CD like it’s –well– ShamWows. It’s only right that a coke-head sells Eminem albums.

Fortnight lingerie has put out a couple of videos suitable for HBO-after-10:00 that may save the life of a dying, half-naked supermodel. Is this great advertising or what? Eye candy, life-saving lessons, and selling a product all in one 40-second clip that keeps your eyes glued to your screen.

New iPad ad campaign revisit Apple’s old Newton ads

If you don’t follow me on Twitter, which you should, you’ll know that I am the arrogant-seeming owner of an iPad. “Oh, gosh, you have an iPad?” is what people say when they hear me speaking about “my iPad.” You just heard me say, “My iPad,” so why the hell would you ask if I have one; other than to be condescending to let me know your disgust for said device?

My response to them is, “You don’t?” in the same condescending tone. Prick. Yes, I have an iPad. It’s a great piece of technology with a lot of possibilities and I’m an early adapter. Somehow that always makes me feel like Martin in the “Suspicious Minds Episode.” If not the iPad itself, being a first generation product, isn’t the next big thing then it definitely is one big stepping stone.

Its fast processor is already going to be used in the next iPhone –which I will also get– and people are already putting iPads in cars and doing all kind of things to them by way of jailbreak. Technology is crazy. Crazy great.

Let’s get back to the campaign. It’s a nod to an old Palm-type device called the Newton. I was too young to care for a Newton but, in a nutshell, it’s like an iPad that would be perfect for Zack Morris.

The new “What is iPad” ads are eerily reminiscent of the “What is Newton” ads of the ’90s. The voice of the announcer is rougher than the voices of Apple’s other ads. I like it. It’s taking a dominating stance rather than just showing how useful it can be.

Old Spice Body Wash Commercials featuring Terry Crews…genius!

If you forgot how much I love Old Spice ads, well here’s a reminder of why. Old Spice hooked up with Terry “Do-I-really-have-to-tell-you-where-you-know-him-from” Crews being overly powerful like the body wash. They’re great! Watch and see why.
