FYI: The Dark Knight is predicted to do $100 million this weekend.
As the saying goes, “you’re nobody ’til somebody kills you.” The death of an artist makes you pay attention to their work. Heath Ledger’s too-convincing role as The Joker in “The Dark Knight” may be his last but his Oscar-buzz-worthy performance is an amazing mark he left in entertainment.
The sequel to “Batman Begin” picks up where it left off in the corrupt fictional city of Gotham. Batman is still fighting the good fight against mobsters and crooked cops alongside Lieutenant Gordon in an effort to clean up the streets and political system.
Now, I can go on and on about how great the plot was with twists and depth but it’s hard not to focus on Ledger’s portrayal of The Joker. Read the rest of this entry »
By now, you should all know that Jesse Jackson, in the most hypocritical move of ‘08, dropped the “N-Bomb” after saying that the word shouldn’t be used. This interview is before Messy Jesse’s use of the word “nigga” was confirmed but this will only add fuel to Nas’ fire in exposing Sly Fox and Jackson.
Also check out what Weezy’s new nemesis, Al Sharpton had to say about it. You knew Sharpton would come out for this. With Jesse’s impending fall from grace –I use “grace” very loosely– that’s one less black voice to outshine his.
I’m sure he says “nigga” too behind closed doors. Just like white people, Hispanic people, Jewish people and blacks alike. Whether jokingly or in anger, everyone has used it or uses it at some point.
I don’t know about everyone else, but I don’t rock Fila. Ever since I saw their Prada and Gucci knock-offs, I put Fila in the same pot as Karl Kani. My question is, can Nas make Fila cool?
Obama responds to the tasteless “New Yorker” cover (left) which featured him in Muslim garb and his wife packing an AK-47 with an American flag burning in the oval office. The Democratic Presidential hopeful appeared on Larry King the other night and spoke on this, among other things. I think he handled it well.
